Grant Moody

Grant is currently a Director of Innovation, at Valero Energy. Before joining Valero, he served in various executive roles at USAA, the premier military financial services firm. He previously served 10 years on active duty as a Marine F-18 pilot with combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and he continues to serve as a LtCol in the Marine Reserves.

Since leaving active duty, Grant has been politically active supporting conservative veterans for public office. He founded and chaired Support and Defend PAC, and then served as the Republican Political Director for With Honor. He also briefly served on former Congressman Mike Pompeo’s congressional staff. In 2017, he was appointed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas Veterans Land Board alongside Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush. He also served on the Board of Directors for Soldiers’ Angels a national non-profit and now sits on their Advisory Council. Grant is a distinguished graduate of the United States Naval Academy and was named a  2nd team Academic All-American playing football for the Midshipmen. He holds an M.S. in Statistics from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business School.

Grant is married with 3 young children. They reside on the north side of San Antonio.
