Most recently, he served as Executive Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia—the nation’s largest—where he oversaw operations, drove cross-agency innovation, coordinated inter-agency investigations into fraud, abuse, and corruption, and supported federal law enforcement initiatives.

Previously, as Deputy General Counsel at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Clayton developed legal frameworks to revitalize the federal workforce by streamlining incentive structures, removing unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles, and modernizing outdated systems.

He resides in Austin with his wife and daughter.
