Colm Willis

Colm Willis serves as the Chair of the Marion County Board of Commissioners in Marion County, Oregon, home of the state capital and second largest metropolitan area in the state. Commissioner Willis also serves his community as a board member of the Strategic Economic Development Corporation of the Mid-Willamette Valley (SEDCOR), Mid-Willamette Homeless Initiative, Willamette Health Council, and leads the Marion County Housing Initiative. Commissioner Willis’ policy areas of focus include economic development, housing, homelessness, health care, transportation, waste management, land use, and public safety.  Prior to being elected to the Marion County Board of Commissioners, Commissioner Willis served as an aide to the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee and represented small businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits as a business attorney. Commissioner Willis holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and a Juris Doctor from the Willamette University College of Law where he earned the civil rights award and graduated first in his class as valedictorian. He lives in Stayton with his wife and daughters.
