Crews LaGrand

Tallahassee, FL

Crews LaGrand is a Marine Corps combat veteran, an attorney, and currently serves as Counsel to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier. In this role, Crews advises the Attorney General on a wide range of legal and policy matters, coordinates with state and federal agency leaders on statewide initiatives, oversees the first-in-the-nation Office of Parental Rights, drafts advisory legal opinions and letters, and manages clemency applications and provides recommendations to the Attorney General.

Prior to this role, Crews clerked for Judge Robert E. Long, Jr., on the Florida First District Court of Appeal. Crews earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and his B.S. in Political Science from East Carolina University, graduating magna cum laude.

Crews enlisted in the United States Marine Corps out of high school as an infantryman. He deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, where he earned several awards, including the Combat Action Ribbon. He also deployed to several countries in Southeast Asia.

In his free time, Crews enjoys training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, powerlifting, and reading theology, philosophy, and history.
