Treasurer Daniel Elliott was elected as the 56th Indiana State Treasurer on November 8th,2022. As the state’s chief investment officer, he oversees multiple agencies & the management of over $13 billion on a daily basis.

Prior to becoming Treasurer, Daniel Elliott worked his entire 25-year professional career in information technology. An entrepreneur at heart, Daniel started his own software consulting company focusing on software application development and cybersecurity. Daniel has also served in local government as a member of the Morgan County Council County and President of the Morgan County Redevelopment Commission. This experience gives Daniel unique insight into the challenges local government officials face every day.

Daniel grew up in an unincorporated town in rural Jennings County, Indiana. Today, he lives on a small farm in rural Morgan County with his wife, Laura, and their four children. He is a proud school-choice dad. He graduated from Utah Valley University and is the first Latter-Day Saint to be elected to statewide office in the State of Indiana.

Daniel loves to spend time with his family and outdoors. One of his passions is training his own horses, and he and his family can often be found outside riding their horses on a beautiful Indiana afternoon.
