Eric Burlison, is a Republican State Senator, who represents the 20th Senatorial District, South-west Missouri. Before his election to the Senate, he was a state Representative in the House, where he was named the Missouri Republican Assembly’s Legislator of the Year in 2011, received a 100 percent conservative ranking from groups like the American Conservatives Union and Club for Growth. in addition he was named the Business Advocate of the Year by the Springfield Business Journal in 2016. His legislative accomplishments among many include sponsoring and passing Constitutional Carry and Stand Your Ground Laws, for which he had to overcome a Governor’s veto. In his private life he earns a living as a tax consultant and investment adviser as well as software consultant for Cerner. In his free time, Sen. Burlison enjoys hunting and fishing in the Ozarks. He and his wife, Angie, are active members of the Destiny Church in Republic, MO. They live in Battlefield with their two daughters, Reese and Aubrey.
