Ivan Bercovich

Ivan is a technologist, investor, and entrepreneur, currently focused on understanding the progression and implications of artificial intelligence. He was a co-founder of ScOp Venture Capital, where he focuses on companies developing vertical applications of AI. Prior to his current role as a general partner at ScOp, Ivan spent ten years at Graphiq, where his team built one of the largest general knowledge graphs and developed natural language understanding and generation technology. Following Amazon’s acquisition of Graphiq in 2017, Ivan led a team of 150 engineers to develop technology powering Alexa’s question understanding and answering. Ivan holds Summa Cum Laude degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He lives in Santa Barbara, California.
