Jake Fischer

Alexandria, VA

Jake Fischer joined the Department of the Army in 2025 as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll, where he executes strategic initiatives to modernize the U.S. Army.

Previously, Jake worked as a management consultant, designing strategy and implementing transformation projects for clients across the public and private sector, including government, defense, and technology clients.

Jake is an Army veteran and a graduate of Ranger School. During his service as a combat medic, he deployed to Afghanistan. He earned his associate’s degree from Sierra College and his bachelor’s degree from Yale College.

He hails from Mokelumne Hill, California and currently lives in Virginia with his wife and daughter.
