Jared Josephsen

Jared Josephsen is a legal and business executive whose career spans innovation, regulation, and national security. He has led legal and governance functions for public and venture-backed companies, serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and boards on matters involving strategy, risk, and institutional stewardship. His experience has been shaped by sustained work in public company boardrooms, responsibility for complex commercial and regulatory decisions, and operational leadership in environments where disciplined judgment, accountability, and execution under pressure are essential. This breadth of experience has given him a deep appreciation for leadership approaches that emphasize institutional integrity, individual responsibility, and the conditions that allow innovation and opportunity to scale across society.

His experience includes serving as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Outdoorsy, Inc., a Series D, billion-dollar, IPO-path company, and as Associate General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC), a global semiconductor company. Jared has also held senior in-house legal roles at the public technology companies Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI) and Rackspace (NASDAQ: RXT), advising on capital markets, strategic transactions, disclosure, and board-level matters. He began his legal career in corporate and securities law at Ropes & Gray in New York City and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Austin, representing public companies, investors, and high-growth firms.

Jared’s military service includes twenty-five years as an infantry officer in the United States Army National Guard, including three deployments.

Jared holds an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, a J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law, and a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Iowa. He lives in Austin with his two sons.
