A former Naval Officer, John has worked in leadership roles his entire professional life.  He professes his faith in Christ above all else.

John was elected to the Wyoming legislature in 2020 and is the Chairman of the strategic House Appropriations Committee.

John was unanimously elected to be the chairman of the Wyoming Freedom Caucus in 2022 and led the organization through its growth and cooperative partnership with the State Freedom Caucus Network. In 2023 John was named Club for Growth’s highest scoring legislator in Wyoming for sustainable economic growth with a 100% score.  John was awarded the State Freedom Caucus Network’s coveted “Best State Lawmaker” award in 2024.

John leveraged the Caucus’ new found popularity to promote more conservatives into a majority in the Wyoming House.

Most recently John authored Wyoming’s version of the SAVE act ensuring that only citizens vote in our state.  Wyoming was the first state in the nation to pass this comprehensive election integrity bill into law.

John owns several small businesses in Gillette Wyoming.  He and his wife Sage are earnestly striving to keep their community conservative and flourishing.  They raised two children and have four grandchildren.
