Martin McLaughlin represents Illinois’ 52nd District, serving portions of Lake, McHenry, Kane, and Cook Counties. A Reagan conservative and strict constitutionalist, he is committed to protecting the foundational freedoms and liberties established by America’s Founding Fathers.

A successful businessman and pension expert, McLaughlin built a career promoting fiscal responsibility and transparency. As Mayor of Barrington Hills, he restored financial stability, cut property taxes, and proved that efficient, accountable local government can thrive without excessive spending.

In the General Assembly, he champions tax reform, pension accountability, local control, and the protection of individual rights. Known for his genuine, authentic, and direct approach, McLaughlin values honest communication and accessibility with his constituents.
