Nick Schroer

Defiance, MO

I was born in Ferguson, MO in 1985. Most weekends and summers were spent either on my family farm in Fayette, MO or traveling the United States with my grandparents. After graduating Trinity Catholic High School in 2004, I became the first member of my family to attend college. Graduating with a bachelor’s in Criminology in 2008, I intended to start a career in law enforcement until I met my wife. She convinced me to take the LSAT and apply to law schools.

While in law school, I courageously spoke up and debated progressive (or regressive) colleagues and was elected as president of the Law School Republicans and the Federalist Society. In 2013 I graduated from SIU School of Law and then became licensed in Missouri and Illinois.

In 2016, fed up with the status quo in both our federal and state government, I ran for state representative in St. Charles County, MO. After a grueling primary and general election, I was elected to office. In 2022, I decided to run for the Missouri Senate to replace my friend and mentor Dr. Bob Onder (now Congressman), and was successful in my efforts.

Presently, I have two daughters, a wife, and four rescue dogs (yes that’s like two too many). I am a practicing attorney and I love outlaw country music.
