250th Wealth of Nations Celebration

Twenty-twenty-six is a landmark year, marking the 250th anniversary of both the Declaration of Independence and the publication of Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations—the philosophical backbone of everything we believe about free markets, limited government, and human flourishing.

Both Smith and the Founders drew from the same ideological well: that free people, not the state, are the architects of prosperity and human flourishing. That shared conviction gave rise to the most consequential experiment in liberty the world has ever seen. Two hundred fifty years later, these foundational beliefs are under assault.

On May 12, 2026, we invited investors, policy minds, and civic leaders to historic Old Parkland for a celebration and discussion. The program featured Dr. Samuel Gregg, president of the American Institute for Economic Research, and The Honorable David McIntosh, President of the Club for Growth, in conversation about Smith’s enduring legacy and the economic debates defining this historical moment.
