Washington, D.C. – The Club for Growth Foundation honored Dr. David Stiles Nicholson with its second annual Pillar of Freedom Award, alongside the Fellowship program’s annual Alumni Awards. The ceremony took place at the annual Alumni Reunion, where over half of the Fellowship Network gathered in Washington, D.C.
The Pillar of Freedom Award is presented to an individual whose generosity and support are making a lasting impact on the work and mission of The Club for Growth Foundation. Through steadfast commitment and principled investment, this individual has significantly advanced the ability of the Foundation to educate, equip, and empower the next generation of leaders. This individual’s dedication to economic freedom and limited government serves as a beacon for all who seek a freer, more prosperous American future.

Dr. Nicholson established the Stiles-Nicholson Foundation in 1992 in memory of his father, William John Stiles, a fallen World War II soldier, and his stepfather, William Nicholson, a German POW survivor. From its beginning, the Foundation has been dedicated to strengthening education—helping citizens understand the benefits of free enterprise and equipping them to succeed in the real world. Over time, the mission has grown to encompass four major education initiatives, all aimed at creating a more prosperous America—one where equal opportunity allows every individual to reach their full potential.
