Club for Growth Foundation Releases 2022 WI State Legislative Scorecard

Washington, D.C. – The Club for Growth Foundation published its 2022 Wisconsin economic scorecard, bringing increased transparency to where state legislators stand on pro-growth economic policy.

The Foundation conducted a comprehensive examination of each lawmaker’s record on votes related to pro-growth policies and computed an Economic Growth Score on a scale of 0 to 100. A score of 100 indicates the highest support for pro-growth policies. This year, the Club for Growth Foundation scored 10 votes in the House and Senate. These votes included support for free speech protections on college campuses and school choice expansion while opposing vaccine mandates for healthcare employees.

“Through the Club for Growth Foundation’s scorecard series, we hope to bring greater insights to the people of Wisconsin on where their representatives stand on pro-growth economic legislation,” said Club for Growth Foundation President David McIntosh. “By providing this increased transparency, Wisconsinites will be better educated on key economic policy in the state. The data shows that Wisconsin has a good share of principled, free-market legislators.”

Club for Growth Foundation plans on releasing similar scorecards for state legislatures across the country.
